Kempshott Under Fives is based in the beautiful grounds of St Mark’s Church in Homesteads Road. We opened in November 2015 and cater for 20 children per session, aged two to five years. Kempshott Under Fives is run by Hatch Warren Under Fives Preschool Ltd. It was created to meet the need for a preschool in Kempshott and to offer additional spaces for Hatch Warren's large waiting list.

We are open from 8.30am each day, with either an 8.30am or 9am start time available for morning sessions and a 12.30pm start time for afternoon sessions (12pm start on Tuesday afternoon only) ; We close at 3pm each day and again we have plenty of pick up times to suit; midday, 1pm or 3pm.

At Kempshott we believe that by working in partnership with our parents we will be able to achieve the best for our individual children.

We learn through play because children begin to understand the wonders of the world and build their skills for life through this. We observe the children as they play, record our observations and plan activities to extend their learning and development.

Spending quality time with the children enables us to build positive relationships with them and when combined with the partnerships we have with our families we achieve the best outcomes for all of our children. 

Our first ever Ofsted inspection was carried out on 15th January 2017. Our overall grading is GOOD.
The inspector reported on many wonderful observations including, “The newly appointed manager works closely with staff to evaluate practice and drive continued improvement. She obtains feedback from parents and invites children to express their opinions. She has an overview of all children's progress and any gaps in their learning are quickly addressed.”

The report also states that, “Staff provide a friendly and welcoming environment. They interact well with the children to help encourage their emotional well-being. Children's behaviour is good.”

The inspector also recognised that our children’s speaking, listening, writing and maths skills are good and well supported, and that outcomes for children are good.
